Effective Time and Life Management for More Return and Peace of Mind
Stress management is a process in which people use strategies and techniques to control stress and reduce its negative effects on the body and mind. Stress can arise from various sources, such as work pressure, personal challenges, health problems and social relationships. Effective stress management helps improve the quality of life and contributes to both mental and physical health.
What is Stress?
Stress is the body’s and mind’s response to external pressures or demands. It can be positive, such as motivation to achieve goals, or negative when it persists for a long time and leads to problems such as fatigue, anxiety or burnout. The stress response includes physical and mental changes, such as increased heart rate, tense muscles and accelerated breathing.
The need for stress management
Long-term stress can have serious consequences, including:
- Mental health: increased risks of depression, anxiety disorders and concentration problems.
- Physical health: Stress can lead to heart disease, high blood pressure, sleep problems and a weakened immune system.
- Social relationships: Stress can cause tension in relationships and make communication difficult.
- Absenteeism is increasing: employees are out of action for longer periods of time.
By applying stress management, these negative effects can be reduced and overall well-being can be improved, which in turn has positive consequences for the personal and business results of employees and organizations.
