Teambuilding In practice, creating often turns out to be more difficult than expected. There is something to be said for this since you have to deal with different visions within a team. It's your job to get everyone on the same page. In this blog we give 5 tips for improving team building.

Improve and 1. Trust and respect

Trust and respect are the key to effective coaching. When these two basic principles are known to each individual, this will automatically transfer to the team. These principles create an atmosphere in which the individual feels more freedom. This will result in more openness and honesty within the team, which in turn improves performance.

2. A clear vision

A clear one vision is very important in team building. To engage and convince your employees of your company's vision, the vision must be clear. With a vision you give direction to your company or organization and it guides all the choices you make.

3. Organize activities

Organize some every year team activities. This will provide some relaxation within the team, giving the employees a boost to work for you. You will also notice that a collective is created during team activities. This is because there is some distance from the working environment and colleagues are more likely to consider each other as friends at that moment. So after an activity you will notice that a team closer has come together.

4. Individual qualities

Make sure that everyone's individual qualities are clear within the team. This way a team will be able to complement each other better. This improves performance and the working atmosphere. In addition, the responsibilities within the team become clear in this way and each individual will do their best.

5. Attention

Within each team you deal with different characters. One will be more prominent than the other. Yet the trick is to involve less outspoken team members in the process. This can be achieved by giving these members attention, space and trust and utilizing their qualities. After all, they are also part of the team, because don't forget Together Everyone Achieves More!

Let people grow

The core of good leadership is getting the best out of your people. That starts with understanding what drives each team member and where his or her talents lie. Not everyone is motivated by the same things. One employee wants autonomy, another seeks recognition, and yet another thrives on new challenges.

As a manager, it is your task to recognize those individual drivers and align your approach accordingly. A personal development conversation is a good tool for this. Not the formal performance review, but an open dialogue about ambitions, needs, and possibilities. Teams in which employees feel seen and heard perform demonstrably better.
