I wish you a happy New Year!

Wonderful, that annual habit, so familiar, so much warmth. I read it again and wondered: what do we actually mean by 'Happy New Year'?

At the turn of the year, we wish each other the very best. You extend this wish to family, friends, colleagues, and, of course, your business associates. Happiness, as the dictionary says, means: prosperity, well-being, a favorable course of your circumstances. Wishing happiness is essential here.

Nicely said, but why do we wish each other happiness now?

When you give best wishes to someone, you hope that he or she will have a beautiful, healthy, successful and, above all, a happy new year. You wish someone else the best for the coming year.

Okay, we'll follow that one. Why do we do this every year?

A new year means that another, older year has preceded it. A change, a change of year, gives us the physical, emotional and mental opportunity to rid ourselves of old pain, old patterns and to grant ourselves and others new opportunities, with new happiness. It gives room for new energy, new challenges and that promotes our vitality!

What does this mean for us now? That congratulations will come to us or that we will succeed in realizing our goals? Or is it correct that we do not have to choose between the two, but that you can enjoy and be satisfied with how things come your way?

It is nice and feels good that someone else wishes it on us. Wishing it on ourselves turns out to be a completely different process. Do you recognize that? That you can wish it much more easily for others than for yourself? Know that when we are happy ourselves, we can get much more from others, we are more tolerant, we laugh more, we have more energy, we succeed more, in short: we experience more prosperity if we allow ourselves to be happy.

If I understand correctly, I wish you a Happy New Year, may things go well for you, and that you will succeed in achieving your goals in good health, with new energy and fun (lots of laughter!!)! And that we will grow together and enjoy the new successes! Wow!

Happy New Year!

Wish and enter the new year with fresh energy and wish happiness

A new year brings new opportunities. But seizing opportunities requires more than just New Year's resolutions. It requires a clear vision of what you want to achieve and the willingness to actively work towards it. Whether it concerns strengthening your commercial results, improving your leadership skills, or building stronger customer relationships: every goal begins with a first step.

What makes something successful is not the plan itself, but the execution. We see that professionals who formulate their goals concretely and measurably succeed significantly more often than those who stick to vague wishes. “I want more revenue” becomes stronger when it changes into “I will conduct five extra client meetings this month and follow up on every meeting within 48 hours”.

Continuing to build together

Growth is rarely achieved alone. The power of a good team and a strong organizational culture cannot be underestimated. When colleagues encourage each other, provide feedback, and work together on improvement, an upward spiral is created that benefits everyone.

That is why investing in your team is at least as important as investing in yourself. A joint training session or workshop can be the starting point for a year full of growth and results. At Kenneth Smit, we have been supporting organizations in developing commercial and personal skills for over 35 years. View our full range of services. training offer and discover which training suits your ambitions for the coming year.

The first step is often the hardest, but also the most valuable. We wish you a year full of growth, success, and great results. Let's make it a top year together.
