As a sales professional you are always on the go. Literally and figuratively. Constantly in contact with your leads and customers, constantly looking for new prospects and constantly working to close that important deal. During the day you often have little or no time to work quietly behind your laptop. The life of a salesperson is largely mobile. Your smartphone is a solution for adding structure to your daily planning. Fortunately, nowadays there are many apps that you can use to keep an overview. In this blog we list ten useful apps for you that are actually a must for every sales professional.

Apps and 1. Dropbox and apps sales

Easily share photos, videos, and documents and always have your files at hand. Additionally, Dropbox is useful for sending large files via email. An alternative to this app is Google Drive. App sales are essential in this regard.

2. Seats2meet

For those who are not yet familiar with the concept: Seats2Meet offers space (306 meeting rooms and 1.851 innovative workplaces) for entrepreneurs and other flexible, new workers to work and meet each other. Using the app you can search for a Seats2Meet location near you.

3. Evernote or wunderlist

An app for notes: a digital notebook. Functions include taking a photo of a business card, creating to-do lists or a digital diary.

4. WhatsApp

Everyone uses it, that's no longer a secret. WhatsApp is the most used app in the Netherlands at the moment. As a salesperson you are not often in the office and therefore you cannot always maintain good contact with your colleagues. WhatsApp is a godsend! Many sales teams have their own WhatsApp group to organize both business and private matters. A more business alternative to WhatsApp is Yammer (a kind of closed business Twitter).

5 LinkedIn

Perhaps the most important in the list. LinkedIn has become an indispensable part of sales. Prepare your appointments well and take another look at the LinkedIn profile of your customer or lead before you enter. You may have common relationships or interests to break the ice.

6. Iens

Want to grab a bite to eat on the go or have a lunch appointment with a customer/lead? Then you want to choose a quiet spot with good service and quality. The location of an appointment can really make a difference. Search and discover the best rated restaurants nearby with the Iens rating app.

7. Feedly

Stay up to date with all the news and trends in the sales industry. As the name suggests, Feedly is a feed reader that allows you to conveniently subscribe to sales blogs. This way you stay informed and can transfer your knowledge to your customers.

8. On the road

Want to know the fastest way to get from A to B and where you can refuel and park cheaply? With the free ANWB Onderweg app you have access to everything you need on the road. An alternative to this app is Google Maps.

9. Customs travel

Do you have an appointment abroad? Then first check the Customs travel app so that you know what you can and cannot take with you and what you should pay attention to with your travel luggage.

10. Parkmobile

Easy parking by registering your parking time based on your GPS location. Payment can be made by credit card or direct debit. No more hassle with outdated payment terminals where you have to pay with coins, for example, a frustration for every seller.

Do you use one or more of these apps yourself? If so, what are your experiences? Or do you also use other mobile apps in addition to these examples? Let us know so that your sales colleagues can also benefit.

You can find more background information about app sales at apps sales (Wikipedia).
