About John-Paul van Herk

Sales, Communication, and Management Trainer

John-Paul van Herk worked for over 27 years in the software, IT, and technology industries. In commercial management and executive roles, he was responsible for developing organizations, teams, and markets, both in the Netherlands and internationally. That experience taught him that growth is rarely limited by strategy or ambition. The difference usually lies in the way people collaborate, approach customers, make decisions, and execute agreements.

John-Paul translates growth ambitions into concrete behavior. He connects an organization's course to what sales professionals, account managers, and managers do every day: exploring opportunities, conducting sharp customer conversations, clearly communicating value, following up on agreements, and taking responsibility for the result.

John-Paul's style is direct, personal, and practice-oriented. He probes to determine what an organization wants to achieve and investigates which skills and habits are required to do so. Participants practice with their own commercial situations, receive honest feedback, and immediately apply what they have learned in conversations with clients and colleagues.

If you want to grow faster, you will have to approach it differently.

From waiting to taking action

More initiative, ownership, and responsibility in daily practice.

During John-Paul's training sessions, participants work on skills that directly impact commercial results. They learn how to deepen conversations, better align with clients' decision-making processes, develop opportunities within existing accounts, and generate new business. Throughout, the central question remains which behaviors and habits contribute to commercial growth and which habits limit results.

John-Paul connects commercial development to the daily practice of participants. Case studies, client meetings, and commercial challenges from within the participants' own organization form the basis of the training. As a result, new skills emerge that become visible in customer contact, commercial discipline, teamwork, and a stronger contribution to the organization's growth objectives.
